   Plas Dinas Hotel & Restaurant

Plas Dinas is a 17th century gentleman's residence with later additions. It is situated in its own grounds and possesses outstanding views towards Snowdon Mountain and the Irish Sea.

Plas Dinas came into the possession of the Armstrong-Jones family in the 19th century. Anthony Armstrong-Jones became Lord Snowdon on his marriage to her Royal Highness Princess Margaret in 1960. The property retains the atmosphere of a traditional country house and contains much of the family furniture, memorabilia and portraits.

Accommodation is provided in eight spacious en-suite bedrooms with two, double-bedroom suites. One room is particularly suitable for people with special needs. Each room has a direct dial telephone with fax and email services available on request.

Bedrooms

Each room is individually styled and reflects the historic character of the property. All bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom and one room is particularly suitable for people with special needs.

Each room has television and a direct dial telephone. Fax and e-mail services are available on request. Four of the rooms, Chintz, Mount, South (pictured), Snowdon, in particular, have outstanding views towards the Snowdonia Mountain.

Dining Room

The Principal Dining Room is furnished with family portraits dating back two hundred years. It provides a sophisticated environment in which to enjoy our gourmet cuisine and extensive range of wine's.

This dining room can hold up to 26 people

Drawing Room

The drawing room is a spacious, beautifully proportioned room with a log fire, antique furniture and family portraits.

Gun Room

In the Gunroom, a unique 17th century room, there is an outstanding fireplace which was originally used for cooking purposes. The walls are covered with sporting prints, portraits of the family, and many items of memorabilia gathered over a period of one hundred and fifty years.

The Gunroom can be used for private parties seating a maximum of fourteen people.

Plas Dinas wants to make your stay with us as memorable as possible. Here we have compiled a short list of some of the best attractions which are to be found in North Wales.

On site Plas Dinas has got a powerful speed boat which can be hired for a reasonable fee, and taken out along the Menai Strait. We can also provide mountain bikes which could be ridden along the cycling track, which passes under the Plas Dinas drive, and goes from Caernarfon to Porthmadog.
