A visit to GreenWood
Forest Park will give you and your family a day out like no other.
Set in 17 acres of woodland there's eco-fun for all ages and an
adventure at the end of every leafy trail!
Take a ride on our eco-friendly Green Dragon Rollercoaster and zoom down
our 70m sledge run – the longest in Wales. Embark on a Jungle Boat
Adventure before bouncing along to the big, bouncy Giant Jumper. Explore
the timber turrets of TreeTop Towers, conquer the Crocodile Maze, and
take a ride on Moon Karts. For something a bit more therapeutic, take
off your shoes and walk barefoot over leaves, pebbles, bark and sand at
Wales’s first BareFoot Trail.
If
you have any energy left, take up a challenge: aim for gold at Archery,
where you can pick up a traditional Welsh Longbow. Build your own Den,
or have a go at Stilt walking.
Head inside to the Medieval-style Great Hall, where you’ll find an
extensive 'hands-on' exhibition about the World of Trees. Watch honey
bees at work in their hive, feel the heat of the desert and experience
the force of a sandstorm – all in complete safety.
Fancy a break? Visit the Conservatory Café for tasty hot and cold meals
and a great selection of Fairtrade and Red Tractor marked products. If
you can't bear to leave the Park, then why not grab a bite from one of
our Snack bars? For some retail therapy, take a look in our Gift Shops
where you’ll find Welsh craftwork, a range of recycled giftware and some
great GreenWood souvenirs.
Prepare to be dazzled in the Forest Theatre, where you’ll find
extraordinary entertainment during the school holidays. Howard the
Magician will keep you on the edge of your seats, while Ricardo the
Pirate will stupefy with his swashbuckling tricks! Elsewhere, find a
variety of crafts to keep little hands busy – make Rag Rugs, Monstrous
Masks and Vegetable Pets
